2 Output Modes
The DN-H800 comes with two output modes:
- Separate output mode:
Dedicated audio terminals output CD and Tuner signals. Each source has its own sets of output jacks.
- Selected output mode:
Tuner/Selected output terminal can alternate between CD or tuner output, controlled by a front panel button.
This feature allows CD-only sound to go to one zone, and the user can switch between Tuner or CD sound to go to another zone.

Last Function Memory
The DN-H800 remembers your last operation even after you turn its power off.

3 Modes Random Playback
- All Disc Random Play:
The microcomputer picks tracks in random order from any of the discs that are loaded.
- Disc Sequential Random Play:
The discs that are loaded are played back in a predetermined order, but the tracks from each disc are played at random.
- Program Random Play:
The microcomputer picks only tracks which you have preprogrammed, but then plays them back in random order. This option lets you hear in varying succession only the tracks you want.
5-way Repeat
- A single track;
- One entire disc;
- All loaded discs;
- A stored program sequence;
- Random playback (All Disc Random Repeat, Disc Sequential Random Repeat or Program Random Repeat)
Play Mode (Single/Continuous)
* These two modes are selected via a mechanical switch on the front panel.
Intelligent Disc Scan
The carousel tray rotates clockwise or counter-clockwise when searching for a disc.
RDS (Radio Data System) Functions
RDS data consists of digital control signals included in the subcarrier signal which provides advanced display information and searching features.
Character Displaying Information
- PS (Program Service Name)
The broadcast station name is displayed instead of frequency (maximum 8 characters).
- CT (Clock Time)
Receives the CT code and displays the current time automatically.
Automatic Searching
- RDS Search
RDS Stations send "Program Identification" code (PI code). The PI code consists of "Country", "Area" and "Program". "RDS Search" searches for stations broadcasting RDS.
- PTY (Program Type) Search
Some RDS stations send "Program Type Identification"code which provides information about program type (News, Sports, Rock, etc.). With PTY Search, the desired program type is automatically searched for.
- TP (Traffic Program) Identification Search
Searches for stations broadcasting traffic information.
